About the Author (Me)

Since 1992, I have lived in the northern suburbs of Atlanta, GA. For the most part, I love this city. If I am to live in the South, this is where I want to live. My only complaints are the traffic and the humidity, however neither has yet to drive us away.

By "us" I am also referring to my wife, Sarah, our dog Layla and most recently, my beautiful, sweet daughter Avery. Sarah and I were married in 2006, Layla joined the family in 2007, and Avery arrived in 2011. I love them more than anything and I always will.

I was fortunate to be raised in a christian home and I am so thankful for the example my parents and grandparents set for me and my sister growing up. I can only hope that Sarah and I will do as good of a job as our parents did in raising our children to be faithful followers of God.

Working for the most trusted name in news, Sarah is pretty much my primary news source - and a very reliable one at that. My primary interests, however, lie in sports.

Seriously, I. LOVE. Sports. Sports is one of the few mediums of life that I have found can be applied to practically any demographic out there. Anyone who says that sports doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things is sadly mistaken or ignorant. Billions of people around the world spend endless amounts of time, money, and their lives on sports. Sports matter.

It is the stories that come out of sports that I look for. Sports is the only true, unscripted drama left in this world. Who will win? Who will step up when it matters most? I love stories of human achievement, even outside of sports. That's because I believe our Father in heaven delights in our success, even those that some people consider trivial.

Let me be clear on this: I do not believe that our accomplishments in this life, or possibly a lack thereof, have any kind of effect on His love towards us. I believe His love for us is unconditional and knows no boundary. But we are his creation and I believe that He takes great delight in us, and therefore I have to think that when we are able to accomplish something great, it puts a smile on His face.
